Functional Diagnostics

Analysis of the jaw

What is functional diagnostics?

If the jaw and its adjoining anatomical structures (muscles, teeth, ligaments) are out of position this can lead to an array of painful conditions such as headaches, migraines, neck and back pains. Functional analysis of the jaw, the jaw muscles and the teeth helps us determine improper positioning and evaluate the possibility of correction.

How can we help?
By carrying out an extensive physical examination we can determine whether there is an anatomical misalignment of your jawbones and teeth. The results determine the course of treatment. Generally treatment begins with the construction of a brace, which often leads to immediate relief of pain.

However to ensure long-term relief we frequently work together with skilled colleagues from a variety of specialities such as physiotherapy, osteopathy and orthopaedics.
